Hello sir, I noticed in the thread speaking to Fred you mentioned VMA-231. When I was in the Corps I too was part of VMA-231 in the AVI shop. Wondering how the squadron is doing.

Sgt Wiz - can't get the PM feature to cooperate. Figured this is the next best way.
Good to hear from you. Sqd is doing all too well. Just got back from the Mojave and cleaned house. All birds good to go; no down time for any reason. Whole friggen sqd went thru humvee roll-over training and aced it as well. 2dMAW CG was so touched by the performance that he made it known that 231 will be the leading sqd to deploy to Afghanistan this fall. Pre-deploy brief is set for 1800, 6 Oct. Pack up is nutzo with EOY $$$$ being spent as fast it's printed. Good times, Wiz, good times. Stay safe, brother. S/F
Thanks for the PM. I fully understand where you're coming from. It's been the the base newspaper, on local tv news, in the local newspaper, and on th epublic version of the base's website. Kinda makes you wonder, eh?!
