    brook tourt + swivel

Will a swivel effect my fishing in brooks? Will the fish see them and flee thinking someting is up or are swivels fine? I'm talking about a brook or stream thats 3 to 7 feet deep and 4 to 6 feet across. I have small black swivels and just wondering if brook/brown trout will flee to suspsion.

any comments tips or facts will be greatly aperciated

I would not even bother using a swivel in such small streams. If you need a leader use a Knot. I have used swivels in steelhead streams but with fairly long leaders ( 8ft or better). If you must use one use the smallest Sampo or Spro made and in black.

For the life of me I cannot think of a reason for a swivel fishing for brookies. Tie on, no swivel is my vote.
