Just want you to be clear, and it may just be a type O but I noticed it in another post of yours the other day. Anyway, I am in no way hollier than thou, just wanted to give you a little info on how to properly state your stats. Nice job on getting the lttle guy his first. Why did you lose the other fish? Pull the hook or break off?

    Tight Lines.
My bad but I'll make it clear for you, we went 6 for 11 and
boated 6 and kept one. good run offs on the lost fish due to
spitting the hooks and break offs. my spelling is not great eather and after many cocktails sitting in the back yard this
is what you get have a good one

fat2na - amazing you were able to get the jist with all those spelling errors Anyway to answer your questions - of the 5 bites we missed, 3 were pulling drag anywhere from 10-100 yards, but spit the hook before we stopped the boat. Don't know if they were just running with it in their mouths, or just a bad hookset that came loose. I can guarantee the hooks were sharp. The other couple pulled the clip but never came tight.

My sons fish had to be released, but we wanted to pull it in for a quick photo being his first. That was like keystone cops. I learned that an 80 pound tuna doesn't fit well in a fluke net Brian probably has a bit to add to that one.

Best comment of the day was from Eli - "my hand is tired, can I turn the rod over and reel with the other hand?"

I'll add to Kyle's fish got him to the back of the boat tryed to
net him with the fluke net, but that didnt fit to well grabbed
the leader and it snapped. I looked at the fish and he looked at me, who's gonna make the first move. I reached down and grabbed the leader in lighting speed wrapped around my hand
he then started to fight again, try to pull in an 80lb BFT with
wet hands and 10inches of line pulled him up to the gunnel and
then the hook broke at the crimp oh well Kyle at leat got a good look at him
