Braid to mono knot

Ok, maybe I'm confused...why are you putting 30 pound braid over 20 pound backing. Is this going on a spinning reel? That I can understand.

I'm putting the set-up on some TLD 15s (baitcasters) for wreck fishing for C-bass, 'Togs, & flounder out as far as 20 fathoms.

Galazio I hear what you are saying, I had quite a few "mystery" break-offs as far as the Power Pro is concerned. Personally I don't think it is quite as tough and abrasion resistant as people like to give credit. I am going to the Stren Superbraid for inshore this year on the rec. of a few guys in the area. The other thing to remember is that if two fish cross each other out there with those lines, the braid parts immediately. Tough with guests....But the benefits speak volumes so I am sticking with it, hope the Stren is better.

I bought a couple Avet MXL's with the Stren Super Braid for chunking, bottom fishing this year. Same deal, the guys at TD recommended it, so it is in the rotation this spring. I'll let you know how to performs.
