Hmmm...pink Crocs? I might just rig some up and win me some money on them! (See my "Sole Man" post here for that.)
I don't care for bowling pin chain teasers primarily because I constantly think of one banging an incoming marlin on the head, which simply cannot be good for getting him to bite. I also find daisy chains of any kind far more cumbersome and harder to handle than either a Toad or one of our teaser spreaderbars. And other than the sinker on a Toad, a fender or squid bar isn't going to chip up or damage anything on the boat.
I really like the look of those little teasers, but just as it is with the smaller, 13" Toads, I wouldn't troll them in marlin or big wahoo country because I know (through painful experience) that they will get bit, instead of the lures above them. What I am saying here is a size issue, not which teaser is better than the other, okay? I'm not out to offend anybody.
And finally, Toads not only work great (I simply would not fish offshore without one in the water, period!), they are simple and inexpensive as the dickens to make. I have posted instructions on that many times, those instructions are in all of our books, and on our website as well. You can also see video of a Toad running the right way on the website.
"Do The Toad (meaning both fish it and maybe do the dance that one of my mates, "Julio The Crazy" invented for it)."
Better yet, start bait and switch fishing with both teaser bars and Toads and have the time of your life and catch a LOT more fish - the right ones!
