Fished with my fiance and her brother Mike on Saturday. Left Bogue inlet at 6:00 and had lines in at 8:00. Don't know exactly where we were but I believe we were fishing a little north of the swansboro hole. First wahoo bite came less than 5 minutes later on a 12in Boone chugger on the long shotgun. Picked up a total of 5 wahoo up to 25lbs with 3 bites on the chugger and 2 on ilanders (b/w r/b).
Finished off the day with a nice sail on a b/w ilander off the short rigger. Mike dropped back and hooked up his first billfish. Great day and we were back at the dock by 3:00.
I didn't pick the spot on this one but it sure turned out to be a good spot. I was out of my home waters and along for the ride. It was actually nice to run the pit for a change instead of driving the boat!!
