Bocas Del toro

Hey everyone!

I'm down on vacation right now in Bocas del Toro Panama, I decided to come down here because it looked like a good toss up of free diving, and fishing. So far its been ok, first day out we snagged a little bonito and a cuda and had some good snorkeling. Today we went out and snagged what I would say was a couple black fin or albacore. They hit a mahi coloured chugger.

Every day we go out there is tons of what I thought was just bonitos, but I was defintely proved wrong today with the blackfins we hooked up. There is just schools of them hitting whatever they are eating on the surface. They will not hit any of our bigger baits, so I guess we should be out throw neting some smaller baits and use them.

Any one have any ideas?

Great Surfing! Great sights! But....Not so good fishing in Bocas. Check out Starfish Beach, RedFrog Beach. Cool place. really good waves! I may go end of the month.

Frey some black rope and tie it to your hook. Make a little dropper chain with about 5 hooks. They will eat it up
