    Boaters world tournament rods

With so many people (my self included) always talking about when we have a problem with a product, I fugured I would tell you guys something good. Last year I replaced all my standup tackle, with new Tiagras, and Boaters World tournament rods. The rods are model number T50130WA60. They retail for $329.00, and have aluminum buts, and channel lock aluminum reel seats. The buts are Pacific bay, and the guides are all Aftco ocer sized Wind on rollers. For an extra hundred bucks you can get the bent butt. I have to say that I was at first skeptikal about buying boaters world rods, but I had a buddy who had been fishing them, and had nothing but rave reviews. Also, with those components the price was right, so I went ahead and got them. After using them for an entire season, all I can say is WOW!!!. They have been absolutely awesome. Everything about them from the action to the power they posses, has been great. The fit and finish on them rival that of the custom builders, and because they are a boaters world product they stand behind any defects or issues. However, heres the real deal.....For their holiday sale you get a $45.00 visa gift card with every one you purchase plus if your a member of the captians club, you get another 12 gift certificate for each one that bumps the price down to $272.00. If you went out and bought the rollers and butt on your own with out the blank youd spend about 250, so thats a hell of a deal.

I haven't used the heavier Tournament series rods, but I replaced all of my dink rods with the tournament series when they came out. I love them. They are nearly as good as the set of Calstars my brother has, and for the price you cannot beat them. They are a great line of rods.

I'll second the recommendation. We fished these setups for both shark and tuna this summer and they were great.
