We had Buddy H. down for some Giant Tuna fishing this week and like I said before after few tweaks with the "mess" I felt good about having a third guy on the boat. Monday was a tough day of fishing as we had a blow day or two and everything changed I went west a few friends of mine went east and the bite was in the middle go figure. buy the time we all got there it was over so of I went out looking and around 2 or so the rod gets a hit, a reel lazy junk fish hit thought we had a albie or a red fish somthing like that but not a tuna. then it started to pull drag but not hard, crap its a shark, crank him in and lets get the thing of the line I said as sean was cranking he stoped and the fish ran like hell....nice not a shark its a tuna had him to the boat 30 minutes later and Buddy H. puts the poon right in the money shot get the tail rope on and its game over. Its so nice with three people on the boat all of which know what they are doing.
so that was that the fish cored out at 270lbs and should be selling today.
Yesterday we pulled the hook on a fish after a long run It wasnt the hooks fault I can say that for sure. This fish had so much line out he could have been coming at the boat for all I know or doing whatever he wanted back there to make the hook come out or he could have just plain stoped to come the other way who knows.
Buddy will be with us for the next couple day and I cant thank him enugh for helping out as much as he has.
