Bluewater Sportfishing report/ BFT Tuna/ with pic.

Well as we all know Chuck at off the hook B&T is having a tuna bounty so I figured I would try for it saturday. Left the dock at 3:00am with myself and friend brian and made my way out in calm seas. When I arrived at the 19 lump I noticed a scallop boat working out in the distance so I ran over to him and set up, bri and I tossed butter fish in the boats wake but didnt get a pull, I was marking a few fish down deep so I kept with him for a bit. The boat decided to lay up for about an hour or so and shuck. This is what we look for when scallop boat fishing. Unfortanaley the boat was but wasnt holding fish.
Brian got two runoffs I had two bites, neither came tight. one of brians did ran for twos seconds then pop..uh oh my knot break..nah leader comes up and its shreaded...shark..the boat had a little brown shark under it so that kept the tuna down.

Ok tuna are not on the boat so its time to troll set up a 4 rod spread and went to troll the lump. Got on the lump made a left and started going down a hill and as I'm looking at one of my new lures, somthing exploded behind my new lure. It looked like someone dropped a 55 gallon drum behind the thing, It was so big I ducked...lol. After that I started to make a circle to go back to work that hill I had two knock downs then the big lure gets nailed and starts to take line with only me and brian on the boat things had to go smotth. I cleared all three rods got the belt handed bri the rod set him up in the belt and drove the boat. After everything was in order, brian was able to fight the fish without me in his way, and made qick work of the tuna. in twenty minutes he was boat side and the gaff found his head...game over. I ice pick him then bleed him..I usually bleed then icepick but I was feeling a little dislexic. After that fish I re reig the ballys burn some time bleeding the fish and set the spread back out. I burned to much time....the bite was over, trolled up a nice 15# mahi mahi and that was it for the rest of the day. so I headed in early. I wasnt going to hang out for the pm bite.
Here is a pic of the fish it weighed in at 68.5.
the fish are here its a early am bite .
