Wed. we had a father and son for an offshore trip. Decent water was hard to find, nasty looking green all the way out. Finally found a small patch of bluewater around the Rock. Plenty of bait, so we stayed right there for the rest of the day. Caught 2 kings, 2 cudas,1 wahoo close to 40# and a nice sail. Friday did a half day near the inlet. All the spanish you wanted and some small kings, finished an hour early with close our limit for a party of six. Sat we did a 3/4 day and caught kings in the morning, That started to get old. I figured with the SE swell some pretty water would have moved in just a couple of miles offshore than we normaly run on a 3/4. Around 12:00 found it. Plenty of flyers and a few birds here and there. 1:30 the bridge pole goes off screaming. I hand it down and a few seconds later line goes slack. Charlie drops it back nothing.
Drops it back again, way back and finally comes tight. Fish stays down for a minute. Then comes up and does the dance. Sailfish. Finally remembered the camera Sat.
