BlueFin Tuna

BlueFin are here !!!!!!!! They are all over from the 100 fat. of the canyon to the twin wrecks.... They are the Footballs from 25-36 inch..There are some out there in the 35lbs but you have to find the right school !!!! We were out yesterday (Sat. june,11) on a blue fish trip at the fingers and caught 12 bluefin till we had one over 27 inches. They are mixed with the bluefish.So today(Sun.june,12) we went out to the washington to go for sharks we went to the 250 fat. we releast 12 blue sharks in 4 hr. the charter got tried we were in 65-68 temp. We took a slow troll home!!!!!!!when we got to the edge of the 100 fat.on the north tip of the washington 7 on at a time Bluefin all under 27 inches.... They were on Green Machines ,Green squids,sprederbars, Blue / white ilanders with ballyhoo, pink ilander crome head...We end up releast 22 bluefin and got 1 to keep at 36lbs (34inches) we trolled all the way in to the lumps inside the washington....... The water temp in at the lumps were 60-62.....with a lot of bluefish also...They realy mess up a spred!!!!! Capt.Chip Arndt

nice work chip, glad yall got into them. We've been havin a hard time even finding the blues inshore. Heading to marine electric tomorrow sharkin then trollin for some bft later. With that report, might head to the wash.
