    Bluefin info

    This is information I found on the web. We're looking to go Saturday/Sunday depending on the weather (we're in a 26 Regulator). Let me know if you get out.

    "We ran into a nice size pod of 150 to 200 lbers free jumping and rolling well inside the 20 line on thursday. I didn't have any outfits suited for the job so we didn't relly fool with them. I will say that it was very hard to motor away from those beauties."

    "I would have to say that trolling slow way back and deep would be the ticket. If you could get your hands on a couple hundred pounds of sand eels, I am sure you could turn them into a couple of hundred pounds of bluefin fillets. Look around the 20 line between the Oil wreck and Shrewsbury Rocks and that should get you close."

    Good Luck,
    Rich

    i was gonna try tommorow,if i go i will post results,stii un-decided whether to troll or chunk,i am set up for both,planers, hoos etc..bit i am still leaning towards chunking witk sardines,a friend of mine had them a couple weeks ago chunking and could not raise a bite trolling, trolling is more fun i wish i had a couple first hand reports to make my decision easier

    Fish are here

    I'm seeing and hearing a bunch of reports. My friend yesterday didn't even get out of the bay, had stripers to 44" on jigs and spoons near the NWS Earle. Saw this report also on the web;
    "had 100lbs to 150lbs bluefins on the surface tuesday off srewsberry rocks. had tuna gear with us but they sounded before i could get a live bluefish rigged up..bummer, but had a great day with the bass on castmasters...bass were mixed in with bluefish feeding on peanuts."

    Trying to get out on Saturday also will be on 65 or 68 if you want to give us a shout.

    They are here. 20 fathoms and inside. I am also trying to get out. I ordered 4 dozen baitmasters ballyhoo and I can't even get out to use them! I personally perfer to troll them. Ballyhoo with Blue/white or Blue/White flasher Ilanders 1/2 a spool back. Pink/white flasher on the long rigger worked too.

    Let us take this time to pray to the weather gods!
