    Blue Marlin OCMD 6.11.11

    I would like to say "Congrats" Mike Bostic, Jr. from Price, MD. He faught the largest blue marlin I have ever seen on Saturday afternoon. The fight lasted over 4 1/2 hours before we got the release, all on STAND-UP with a Penn 50, 60 lb. mono, 130 lb. ande fluro leader, and 7/0 jobu hook. We tried to grab the monster by the bill to get some measurments & pictures but it didnt happen. To say the experience was "epic" is un understatement.

    I dont know what # blue this is outta OC, I believe #4.

    This day will be burned into our memories forever.

    Congratulations to all on an epic fish...Too bad you couldn't get a bill grab and a shot, but bear in mind, sometimes it's better for both the fish and the crew that that part doesn't happen. And on top of that, sometimes the mental images are better and longer lasting than a shot alongside, especially when it comes to epic battles like this one.

    I do not have any still pictures, I have a bunch of video's. My laptop died so I can not upload them. And my work pc does not have the software, I am going to attempt to load them today when I am in the office.
