If you are looking for something a bit closer and more convenient, the Blue Marlin Bite in the Bahamas is typically April through July.... Moon matters, as usual most everywhere on the Blue Marlin bite, so make sure to get the right week, for your location. We like to start fishing hard for them about 2-3 days after the full moon. Usually you get a wide open bite 2-5 days after the moon, and the bite continues to be good for about 7-10 days...
We'll have boats fishing in Both San Salvador and the Abacos in May. The bite starts a bit earlier in the Abacos, and the BBC is held starting in late April though mid June...so that'll give you an idea of when the season is in the Abacos. In San Sal, the bite usually starts in early May and gets best on the moons in May, June, and July.....
MR BII (57 Dean Johnson) with Capt. Rick Ogle and the owners on board hooked, fought and released 10 Blue Marlin up to 275-lbs. This is a new Venezuelan record for a single day of fishing!
