All right got a question on the commercial side of selling them.Im trying to make sure I have all my permits that I need to sell em, I think I do but need to make sure ,its like pulling teeth to find the right one to ask,coast guard,noaa,hms etc.If someone would be kind enought to help that would be good.My charter boat is in Va.

To sell Atlantic Bluefin Tuna you need an HMS permit from NMFS. Easily obtainable on NMFSpermits.com. To sell you need to get the Charter/Headboat or General category. Angling cannot sell any tuna period. Charter/Headboat basically is a combo of general and angling categories. You can follow Angling rules if sportfishing or General if u are selling. The catch is you can't do both on the same day and You must have a captains license as well.

As for state landing I am not sure what virginia laws are. Hope this helps a little. check out that website for more information.
