Bloodied yet another one...

Damn, I have a lot of boats at my disposal to get dirty... Was running around this morn and was in the neighborhood of the "dump" where I keep my Aquasport... "Oh crap! I forgot I had that one..." Should be fresh on my mind after the fight I had with the City over it last spring.
I had her brought down and the dust was past thick. It was almost like gum. A combination of dirt and soot and oil from a near by power plant sure builds up quick. It was gonna be no just squirt gig to get her right. I had the heavy duty stuff in the car to swab her but good so I did... As she got shiny I took in the fresh air and got the urge. Two sticks and some day savers were in the car so off I went...
Today the bite started at 240 and never let me get past 400'. Go a couple hundred yards and reel in a couple black fins... Go some more and reel in some more. I could have caught a zillion but they are only good fresh so I eased up as fish number six came up and pointed back at the beach maybe 40 minutes after leaving the dock.
Probably good thing. The fuel in that boat is old and needs to be diluted with some fresh... Tomorrow is openig day of black powder so I don't think I'll be fishing but maybe Sunday weather permittig I'll shake the dust off Deep C and see if I can't bloody the fifth boat in just two weeks...

Wow you're on a roll today... What is this? Dig on Deep day? For your info my plate of blackfin sushi is nearly clean and no Missus Deep didn't get any... She has a pizza.. Tomorrow though will be opening day for boar blammin and who knows what part she might munch on next...

in truth... the sushi sounds wonderful and i'm totally jealous...

we need a boat... <sigh>

these islands seem to get smaller when you can't get out on the water... my dad offered up his but his trailer is on another island and there is no where to tie up here or there since both of those docks are still gone...
