Block Island/Montauk Area-What's hot right now??

Heading to Block Island for the week on the 26th, wondering if anyone wouldn't mind giving me the heads up on what is hot right now. Thinking of bringing the wireline and spoons for Bass, and maybe making a run offshore to the tails if the water looks ok. Too early for Mahi around the pots and some sbft?? Thanks all

    Cant go wrong

Try the southwest corner and the north rip with the wire and spoons you'll killem. 5 miles or so south of the island the sharking and maybe the bluefin should be good. Flukin and seabass in those same spots should also be hot. Have fun and hopefully we'll see you out there on the GREENIE III (41 Viking). Keep us posted. Marty from www.g-teklures.com

Awesome guys thank you, I will take you guys up on it. Depending on whether or not my buddy can make it, we may pack the 130's and head to the Cape. Most likely I am going to Fluke and Seabass with my girl, I usually hit the boulders and rock piles on the north side, I haven't ever tried the south side yet, but will be sure to try what you mentioned. I am definitely going to do some sharking, especially after seeing all the Threshers in the tourney. Thanks again for the info, and I will be in touch

OIffshore sharking is very good and there are some SBFT around with lockjaw Bass fishing is picking up around the island and flukeing is very good. Some sea bass and scup on the rocks. You can get my RI reports from Noreast Saltwater Magazine and I also do an inline report on their website.
