hey guys heading to BI for some fly rod fun. have never fished there but have a guide for 2 days and going it on the beaches for 2 days. supposed to be a great striper sight casting spot. cant wait will hopefully have a good report and pics.![]()

You should do very well at BI about now....the water's starting to cool off, and I'm sure the shore action is pretty good. Great # of spots to fish at BI, both from shore AND on boat!Originally Posted by flies only

block isalnd rocked!!! we caught stripers 10-20 lb averages in many different situations. i got a 10 lb on wire in a breaking school in the afternoon. caught some really nice stripers on a block island rip.the capt employed a bait and switch technique that was epic.seeing a 36 inch striper come completley out of the water to crush a plug was heart stopping. if anyone has any thoughts of going just do it. the island is beautiful.our guide was capt greg snow of snowfly charters really nice guy.
