Blinky 4 BFT
Cap't Tom, Chip, Tim and Joe ran the Blinky 4 from her winter home in Virginia Beach 95 nm south to the temperature break 40 nm ESE of Oregon Inlet, NC. Temp went from 53º to 62º within a 1/4 mile. 15 min. in we came tight on a 60 lb bluefin. Reset the spread and next up was a much better bite, both 80w started screaming, about 40 min. later two 66" fat BFT were at the transom. One popped off at the leader and the other met the gaffs as our under for the trip. Was talking to Mark aboard the Canyon Runner as they fought their 95" 600 lb fish for more then 2.5 hours on a 50vsw ! We ended our day with two more similar class fish and started the long ride home at 2pm and smiles all around and big fish in the bag! I cannot believe it's only April !

Great to see she's back in action. Nice fish too. Hope you guys will be next to us again at the WMO. We are planning on bringing the new ride up to OCMD next weekend.
Those pictures of your boat had my mind going back. Do you remember when the lightning hit the condo behind us last year and nearly fried one of your crew standing next to that AC unit???
Hope to see you guys offshore soon. Good luck.

Hardcore fishacholic
Oasis+ Bluefin= Fun
Blinky
I bet your ride home was a little better then ours. We killed a 71 inch bluefin on Tuesday when I talked with you. We fished again on Wednesday and they were snappen again. Killed another 70 inch tuner and released 2 more. Could have caught them all day but it was to rough to fish any longer. It was good fishin next to you, if you come back down to OC this summer look me up. We are docked at the end of C dock at Sunset.

pretty work!
Sure is nice when you make a run like that and the fish cooperate! Well done.
