I hope they are eating a LOT of juvenile black marlin..... some how I don't think that's the case. I didn't see any coolers in the promo.....don't think I would put my sponsor dollars on this one......

If that place has that many little blacks the same blacks that get over 1,000 lbs easy that means that is a nursery and should be treated as such....sorry no trying to be a tree hugger but just pointing out the facts

Aside from them being little black marlin, what a rush it must be to fight a fish like that. I wonder how deep the water is below them, sucks when they hook up to mamma marlin, bye bye.

I fished the stones around there for 3years during Marlin season and never even saw 1!

Days and days of catching live baits and sending them out, NOTHING!!

There is no slaughter of dozens and dozens of blacks every year, just occationaly when the currents are right they come within range for the lucky few.

The water there drops off to over 40m (132 ft) right at your feet.

The trouble with catching them from the rocks is you can't chase them around so they are nearly dead by the time you are able to bring them in, then there is no way of reviving the fish so catch and release, unfortunatly isn't an option.

I hear they are quiet good to eat! but if you kill any fish and leave it sitting on the rocks for a few hours its not going to be any good and that does piss me off

There is a town near by where you can hire a helicopter and some people do this to get their fish home as quick as possible

Living in the West now I would need to travel far off shore to get into that sort of action or drive 1000km north where it is possible to catch sails from the cliffs!

You have to climb down some fairly steep cliffs to get there, gear has to be lowered down by rope, so coolers stay in the car!

Yes that is alot of fish and I also hope it doesn't go to waste

Now that is some extreme surf fishing.

I echo the sounds on killing the fish but I cant really comment since I am not familiar with that fishery.
