The bite is on in Zancudo Costa Rica

George Gray of Fairfax was down to the lodge for 5 days of fishing. Fishing was so good he decided to stay an extra day. George caught Dorado daily with a few sailfish and marlin mixed in. He quickly earned the nick name of Dorado George. His biggest was in the 35lb range.

On day three he fished with James Kohl of the Silver King Lodge. After a few hours of trolling and 2 dorado's Ablio his captain found a huge school of spinners with big tuna under them. They managed two Yellow fin in the 60lb range. On Georges last day of fishing they were able to locate the spinners again and hooked up with a big tuna estimated to be at least 200lb but the rod broke and the fish was lost. He still managed to catch a nice 50lb Yellow fin. Fishing in on so give me a call at the lodge if you want to come down and catch some fish.

ya Bahia Escondido is underway and Jim and Tom Lynskey are hammering away at completeing it although still awhile to go, good guys with a good plan in fact they are taking 1/3 of the raw sewage of golfito and the hospital and runnning threw their treatment plant to help pollution-very cool

ya Banana Bay Marina is still great fun and run by Scott and Bruce the coolest non stuffy marina chiefs, and make the best lesbian bloody mary's

Ya and i still out fish all these suckers down here!! hope jeff knows how to fish ! need some competition and a better info base. make things more interesting

I purchase the lodge one year ago from Roy. The lodge is going threw many upgrades. The boats are being renovated as we as the grounds. I will be posting along with Jeff every few days a fishing report.

Yesterday I went fishing and caught 4 Dorado 2 sails and hooked but lost two Marlin so the fishing continues to be good. I did something really dumb. I picked up the rod with a marlin on. The line did not release from the out rigger. so with out thinking I thumbed the spooled and burned the crap out of my finger. I guess I will never do that again.
