At Sportfishermen.com we travel the world following the best anglers at the best tournaments that exist. This week finds the crew at the southern end of Baha for the one which offers the biggest prize purse of all, the Bisbee's Black and Blue Marlin Tournament in Cabo. With the total prize money topping an estimated five million dollars it has the biggest reward of all the events we see across North America and is set in one of the world's premiere fishing destinations.
During this year's event anyone around the world can feel like they are part of the action as we will be bringing live streaming camera and audio feeds from the tournament scales. The crew has worked hard and along with the help of Senor Sweets, Marlin Master and Picante Sportfishing, have established a strong internet connection so it can be viewed by anyone that can get online. If you want to be a part of it click here to see all of the action live as it happens.
Today was the tournament kickoff party as the crews from across the globe check in with the tournament staff and get set to begin fishing. All of the sponsors are set up along the docks and include Snell Real Estate, Body Glove, Las Villas de Mexico, Dockwise Yacht Transport, Maui Jim, AeroCabo, West Coast Fishing Club, Melton's Tackle and many more. Many crews and those in town were also there to be part of the party and grab Bisbee's Tournament gear, and you can get the gear too at www.Bisbees.com.
The fishing starts at 8 a.m. on Wednesday with one of the most spectacular shotgun starts that one can witness. The boats will take off at full throttle past the famous arch outside the harbor here and head out into the Pacific to search for the biggest blue or black marlin and while there are points for a release award, the big money will be handed to the crew that lands the big fish. With millions on the line you can be sure that these crews will be fishing hard until the 5 p.m. lines out call.
The top prize in the Bisbee's Los Cabos Tournament was 870 pounds so the monsters are out there and hopefully will be brought to the scale which is open until 9 p.m. Sportfishermen.com will be there for it all and as a bonus for those at home, Pelagic and Melton's Tackle have donated some great prizes to give to people at home so be sure and stay tuned to find out how to win some great gear.
