From Yesterday's Wrap

The first day of the Bisbee's Black and Blue was action packed, with an all day party atmosphere along the waterfront and stellar action on the water. The bite was red hot for boats with striped marlin and sailfish biting hard but as the day wore on there were several blues that were released and a pair that made it into boats and to the scales.
The first weigh-in of the day was courtesy of the Kahuna. They boated a blue marlin early in the day and made sure they were first to the scale but unfortunately they couldn't get enough weight to qualify. Their fish went a total of 189 pounds and was short of the 300-pound minimum. The second fish of the day was brought in late by the Fin Seeker but also fell short of the mark. The blue was close at 289 pounds but still wasn't enough to manage a paying finish.
With all spots on the board open there is even more on the line tomorrow. The big overall prize is there for the taking and the daily jackpot will roll over into day two to bring the total prize money up into the multi-million dollar league. There are over 140 boats that are going to be charging hard from the 8 a.m. shotgun start and with the crews being the best in the world it is just a matter of time before we see a monstrous fish hit the scales here in Cabo. Be sure to watch along and if you want to see the photos from the scales and the water on day one, click here to see them all.
We will be here brining it all to you across the globe so be sure and stayed tuned to the webcam, VHF radio feed and awesome visuals from around Cabo and the surrounding waters. We will also start giving away some great gear from Pelagic and Melton's Tackle but you can't win if you're not online. We sincerely hope you'll get online and join us at 8 a.m. each day for all the festivities being held this year at the tip of Baha's majestic peninsula. All you have to do is click here to see it all!
Live vhf radio is now set up at the Baja Cantina, under the web cam you will see Baja Cantina's Logo please click the play button and you will hear music when the vhf radio comes on the music will fad out.

Day 1 Results
There were no qualifying marlin weighed so the prizes have rolled over to day 2. The big fish today will be worth just under 1.6 million dollars so it's a huge day here at the scales.
On the Release side the top teams are all tied with three hundred points. The tie breaker is time which leaves the Sea Jewel in first, El Vato in second and the El Lobo in third.
The Sperry Top-Sider Early Bird Division award went to the Marlin Master 1 that released a sailfish at 9:38 yesterday.
The International Angling Club Championship prize for day 1 went to the team Russia One and Only aboard the Tony's Machine with a blue marlin release at 4:12 yesterday.
