Big Game Club on North Bimini, Bimini Sands on South Bimini is newer and has its docks in a protected basin. Also Bimini Bay on North Bimini is the Cats Arse, last time I was there the basin was being dredged, so it was a little muddy but it has the best views of all looking over the fishing grounds.
Call 2-9 Robbins at Bimini Big Game Resort, cell# is 242-347-3392, hes local and will hook you up.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you want upscale, Big Game is the place. If you want a little local flavor and people who treat you right on a first name basis, SeaCrest is the place.
As for the charter boats.... Well, they're kinda limited. Between Big Game and SeaCrest is the Miss Bonita... Pretty much the Big Dog on the rock. His typical gig is a couple wire lineswith black/ red feathers. Does catch a fair mixed bag doing that.
At the SeaCrest you could ask Capts Al or Pat if they have a better suggestion...
I head over sometime around May but seats are way limited...

I spent a week on Bimini in late March 07. Bimini Big Game Resort is easily the best all around resort style place on the island, north or south. From the Big Game, everything in Alice Town on North Bimini is in walking distance and it is centrally located and the staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Ask for "The Naughty Room"; you'll be glad you did.
Bimini Sands sucks, Sucks, SUCKS and the developer Frank Cooney is a sh!tweasel. When we went over to South Bimini to check out how things had changed since my last visit in April 03, it wasn't lookin good. Trash was blowing around, weeds were poking up everywhere and it was a ghost town. THis was on Saturday, their busiest day of the week.
Also, don't cheap out. Rent a gas-powered golf cart at Big Johns next to Weeches. Its the best way to get around town, about $80/ day that time of year. Big Johns is the place to be on Friday and Saturday nights for island entertainment. They have the Calypsonians playing there ever since the tragic fire that burnt the Compleat Angler to the ground a few years back.
Feel free to email me for more advice.

CATCH-ALL.........Why dont you say what you really feel about Bimini Sands? SUCK, SUCK, SUCK
...........What? Come on now? Have you actually stayed in one of the units? Obviously Not! They are nice units, a friend of mine owns two units there and both are direct oceanfront at the mouth of the cut to Bimini Bay. The two bedroom units have hell of view from the living area with both bedrooms being downstairs. Not to mention the Bar and grill on top of the ships store is adequate and enjoyable.
Now your opinion of Frank, I cant say anything about, I have had good and bad experiences with both he and his son. Now their Dockmaster, thats another story, cant say much good about him(Bad attitude, tried to charge me 50 bucks for washing down my boat with water). As far as trash is concerned, its possible, I was there in January 07' and he still had several dozen under construction on the southside of the basin. But thats pretty normal for the island, as far as I can remember, most all homes had weeds and a car/boat or two on blocks everywhere you look.
Careful, The locals might take offense to what you think SUCKS!

Actually I have stayed there. I have also stayed at Cooney's Motel Hell on the south tip of south Bimini. I wasn't impressed with BS and if I was looking to buy on Bimini, I feel that Bimini Bay is a much better place to buy. It is planned to be a world class resort.

Thanks. It's nice to be back.
I was actually up in your neck of the woods for a few weeks. I was visiting my Dad in the hospital ICU every day for several weeks. It was not a fun time but at least he's out of the ICU now.
