    Well, I think it's safe to say the captain clearly made an error in calling this fish a BM. However, do they normally catch many Whites in that area? I sure don't here of many..

    In the late spring and summer time there are good numbers of them. If you fish out on the rip in the deep water or in the deep around arrowsmith you see them too. Slam fishing is feasible in the late spring ad summer as well.

    THe reason you don't hear about alot of white and blues is because most of the time the sails are being caught in 50 to 100 feet of water.

    The first time I covered the WMO, I got a stern response from the fisheries biologist that there is no such thing as a hatchet marlin, so don't offend a Roundscale spearfish by calling it a Hatchet Marlin. LOL
