Billfish Guys I need your Help!!!

Hey Guys

Greeting to all from South Africa!!! I was hoping you could help me out.... I run a Stills production company down here in Cape Town, South Africa and we have a brief for an upcoming job, an advertising shoot for a Large Car manufacturer from Germany, and one of the shots reuires an image of a jumping Billfish!!

Now being the fishing freak I am, of course I am all over this!! Unfortunately, Billfish of any kind are pretty few and far betwen down here in Cape Town....If they wanted Yellowfin Tuna, well that would be easy.... A big Black or Blue isn't though.....

So I was wondering if you guys might be able to tell me, between middle of November and middle of December, where in the world is one mots likely to have a chace of capturing a shot of a big blue or Black Marlin..... North Drop? Cairns? Panama?

I know its never a gurantee, but it might be worth a shot.....

ANy help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a place in Bantry Bay and another in Hermanus. My wife is from there. My brother in law has the Cantina Tequilla in the waterfront and my wifes step fatehr is Walton of waltons stationers...

You should contact Bill Pino with Squidnation. Anthony's Ark on the board here. He has lots of incredible Marlin Pics. He may also have insight of where you can take your own pic. Sure would be more fun trying to get your own shot. Holwachagot.

I know it's more fun to try and get your own, but it's also incredibly difficult to capture an ad-quality shot of a jumping billfish. You might be better off purchasing an image from a pro--two of the very best are Richard Gibson and Scott Kerrigan (www.scottkerrigan.com). Just tell the company that you're going fishing with the money you saved them!
