Billfish Guys I need your Help!!!

i have space in the next 2 weeks then i am full for the year

come down and fish the southern zone of costa rica

i have 2 marlin reefs that are probably 80% success rate if you dont mind soaking baits all day.

as far as catching the jumps its up to you to have some sealegs in reverse

a good shot is hard to get.

bill boyce is the best water shot guy in the world i think, google his name.

if you think panaman is the answer

look up the -sorry dear- 50ft insane marin boat these guys have there sh&*$% together and probably catch over 100blue/blacks a year

they fish from panama city and can reach any of the marlin holes

if my job was on the line, I'd buy a kerrigan pic. The guy takes awesome shots. You could fish for a year and never capture a jumping billfish picture like you need for your ad.
Get a raise for your bright idea and send yourself on a trip to panama.

Hey Guys

Thanks to you all for your replies and help, you guys rock!!!

As soon as this brief came in, I thought to myslef "No way, the only way to do this is gonna be a stock image from Boyce or Kerrigan or Guy" I actually worked a little with Guy down in Cayman when I lived there, I used to help him catch Stingrays out at Stingray city.... I know from years of fishing just how tough a shot this would be to capture, especially seeing as the folks who are the best at it, spend all year working on trying to capture a shot like these guys want.....

Only problem is that the photog wants to shoot it.... He's a car photographer and he wants to capture the ultimate billfish shot in 1 day!!!! Yeah....welcome to my nightmare!!! I know how hard it is, but I also wanna go fishing!!!

Capt Mike H - Thanks for the invite mate, and believe me, nothing would make me happier than spending some time on the water in CR....I was supposed to move their after my 5 years in the Caribbean, but girlfirned moved back to Canada...I followed.... Long stry, back in Africa and she is now in Costa Rica!!! Murphies Law!!!

I am gonna try and sell them on the stock idea, and see how that runs, otherwise I'm having to look at building a model one, and shooting it instudio, then putting it all together in photoshop......

Babalaza - Cool Screen name, you from this part of the world by any chance? You know that a babalas is a Hangover in our local slang!! Bazaruto could be an option, but its no where near a sure enough thing....Time is a major limitation!!! As is shooting platform...no big sportfishers up that way, and the ski boat billfish boats are too small a platform from which to shoot what they want I think.....

I'll keep you all up to date, and again thanks for your suggestions, keep them coming!

Hopefully they'll take the suggestion of buying a great stock image, and I'll take the saved cash and hopefully come fishing with one of you!!

Wahoo... If it was my choice, thats what I would go for, an original shot or idea....but its not my choice, I'm not the creative, I'm the guy who just makes everything happen or gets the clients what they want..... And as the market isn't targeted at anglers specifically, they are obviously wanting something fairly generic, that, along with the pitch for the ad, will appeal to the viewer/customer......
