Left inlet 5pm thursday, flat calm ride 65 miles south.
Got some good reports from a boat coming in inlet and Predator, offshore bout 30 miles out.
Couldnt find any trolling squid at alltackle, akes, sunset or martins fish, we were planin on a sword.
Lightsticks and jigs didnt produce.
At 6am wre riggin baits, getting ready.
By 9 we had 3 marlin bites and a couple mahi in the box,, 1 white release.
All around 50 fathoms and and water temp 71 ish
Offshore bound (ROY) was around,, HEY!! had on hooked up on the cold side in 69 degree. Think those guys had a great day!!
On the way to 70 fathoms over a little weedline, we get hit and whitey pulled off, another and no dice,, the fish were all up in the spread, hard to keep on the line even though we had nice sharp hooks.
little farther north and 4 rods go down MAHI, 2 lost and 2-10 pounders boated.
At 130 pm we have a real agressive fish run off with our flatline nakid bait, then the other flatline,, Rob gets an old birdnest and gone, but right back on shortrigger , gone and finally Rob hooks him and we release our second White.
Left them biting after all the baits were tore up and we were done. Boat ran like a sewing machine for 24 hours.
Nice talkin to Roy (offshore bound) My turn, sorry i didnt get back to you on the radio,, our hands were a little full. by the way they blazed by us is his cat!!
