BIG YFT have returned

The big YFT have finally returned to our waters here in West Africa. A friend of mine caught this yesterday on a red/white Ilander after a 2 1/2 hour fight. 80kg's (176lbs). He also released a Blue Marlin and a Sailfish today.

Nice yellowfin! Thanks for posting Twotems.
Do you guys pull the islanders with meat (bally, mack or strip) or plain?

I run my lures plain. He may have put some sort of meat in his since he's fished Venezuela three times in the last six months and may have learned something new.

Johnny,
Brian is in Houston on his way to Panama on a house hunt (with some fishing thrown in I'm sure). Our dry season is just starting so hopefully we'll all get our share of the big boys too.

Twotems you run the ilanders without meat as well?

I know the Iland Black Hole works without meat, but I got no faith in the Ilander meatless

Misunderstanding here. I was using the generic term of Ilander. To be specific, he was using an Ilander Express.
