BIG WINTER WAHOO..........

was the word for today. The DIRTY MARTINI crew consisting of JEFF MARTINI and JOEY BRIN braved the cold and hit paydirt!

BIG THANKS go out to HILTONS SST for giving them the shot on where to go, THOMAS HILTON said the WAHOO will be there and boy were they!

DIRTY MARTINI headed to the MCMARLYN LEDGE in search of the fish and upon arriving it was a WINTER WAHOO BATTLE ROYALE!!

Once again the ledges off Little River produced the SLABS they are so well known for.

When the smoke cleared DIRTY MARTINI had between 15 -20 knockdowns and an 80, a 60, and two 40's lbers in the box. On two different KD'd he had a double and a single triple KD at once. Said the fish were chewing but couldnt keep em all tight.

Another great start to a our WINTER WAHOO Fishery.

A great warm up for the MARTINIS HOOK A HOO RODEO set for April 17th-25th this year out of Little River/North Myrtle Beach SC. The BIG FISH are there when you can find the water... just gotta brave the cold and pick your days.

YEAH, MOST ARE WARM WEATHER FISHERMAN THOUGH. Few are willin to brave the COLD for the SLOBS.

THERES NO DOUBT, JEFF MARTINI IS ONE OF THE BEST WAHOO FISHERMAN THERE IS. YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT HE CATCHES BIG SLOBS. In the last three years I know for a fact hes had mutiple fish over 60, a half dozen in the 70-80lb range and a 101lber just last March. All caught from the Steeples to the McMarlyn Ledge. No Doubt the Wahoo fishery is WORLD CLASS at times during the year. Every winter Hundred Pounders are caught from Morehead City to Charleston.
