Big Thankyou to the SEA NOTE out of killdevil hills, NC
Hello all, i am new here and wanted to share my experience with the viewers. I had the honor of fishing the white marlin open this year for the first time aboard the SEA NOTE with captain benjie starskey and first mate William. Not only did they put us on fish but we went to the scales on the fist day with a 74 lb white caught by my long time friend and organizer of the trip, Jim New. This fish would be the first white marlin i have ever seen come up in the teasers and bait hunt. simply amazing. beautiful fish. Day two would bring my turn at the reel and sure enough at 11:45 we hear those words so music to everyones ears, "there he is, white in the teasers!". I strapped a belt on, william hooked my fish and off we went. what a spectacular sight to behold. he jumped, tail walked a little and came right to the boat or so i thought. no sooner did he see the boat then he made an all out run for the deep blue everafter. we backed down on him and the fight was on. he stayed deep for what seemed like ever. then little by little the 30 lb mono and 25lb shimano two speed came together to gain some line back and there he was. all lit up shining blue, green, silver and white right at the stern. william billed him, we layed him on deck, measured him and began the celebration. 71 inches long lower jaw to fork in tail, 26 inches around. not only my first white but bigger than the one the day before which put the sea note in first place for a bit. Off to the scales again. sadly there was a 92 lb, a 80.5 lb and a 77lb weighed in and my fish weighed at 76lbs but what an experience. we proceded to release another white and catch 5 dolphin. The crew of the SEA NOTE provided me with a experience of a lifetime and i will be back with them next year! many thanks to captain benji, Joe stanskey, william, jim, ryan, matt, chris and my brother warren.
