    Thanks franky,

Glad to see Mark getting some press.. do you think its time to recall the big tiger he caught back in the Bahia days when no scale in town cought weigh it, and it was taken by truck to a grain scale in Berlin!

His boat was a 19' aquasport, and they drug the fish in along side her,,

wow My hair wasn't white then! hahaha

I remember a 980 that he caught that lost a bunch of whale and turtle out of it when they hung it- would have been well over a grand.

Old Roy the fish cleaner used to wear an apron that said "Sharks ain't nothing but a fish with teeth" or something like that when those big ones would be brought in.

It is a 'stick' for lack of a better term that is tied on the line just above the hook to prevent a shark from being gut hooked. Think about it like trying to put a pencil into a jar sideways. It is something that OC Shark tourny will be mandatory as well as the circles. Looks pretty weird, and also is the furthest thing from stealthy you could get, but hey looks like that 600lb big girl wasn't too shy of it.

rich- look at the photo of it hanging, you will see a white piece of pvc by its mouth. Basically Mark has a 2 foot ish piece of pvc with a hole drilled in the center that is on a swivel a little ways up from the hook. In theory the shark cannot swallow past the blocker. Definitely not stealthy, but Mark has been having good success with it.
