Big Eye taken in the Elelaphant Trunk!

we took 3 big eye at 330pm in the elephant trunk, all 150 or better! I never have seen or heard of bigeye coming in closer than 50 fathoms! Awesome action on bluefin as well trolling the WTFB skirted Islanders. Great day to be out, but it got rough as shit in the afternoon. Get out there boys, they are there!

Not only is that super rare but crazy things are going on out there this year. Now, I could be wrong and maybe Tred is the one say this for sure but in 20 years of fishing the Mid Atlantic and NE Canyons both recreationally and commercially, including long lining, I have never seen the amount of Big Eyes like there have been this year. It's truely amazing and now to hear they're swimmin' in the shallows. what's next?
Did have a triple or were they all seperate bites, different times? Good job either way but if it was a triple, real good job. Definatley feel your excitement, awesome job, way to go, CONGRATS! Let's see pics.

Bluefin!!!

I highly doubt they were Big Eyes. THey were most likely Bluefins you caught there. Big Eyes don't swim shallower than 70 fathoms. And if they were bluefins you were way over your limit so I would be absolutely certain before I post any messages such as this on the internet.
