Bigeye mostly eat squid in the deep , hence the large eye, and physiology suited to do so ,what the hell are they doing that far inshore??I'm thinking BFT but don't want to be a "hater", let's see those pics.

saw a free jumping white marlin about 7 miles from the OC inlet 2nd week of October about 5 or 6 years ago. sick, pea green water. don't recall the temp, but WTF is a white marlin doing in pea green water, in October?

Just this year coming back from the Parking Lot we saw a sailfish tailing in 20 fathoms just below and inside the twin wrecks.
I almost ran over the thing. As the crow flies that's probably only 17 miles off Assateague???

At least he caught fish....that is encouraging regardless of tuna species in my book with what seems to be a finicky YFT bite these days. Hope it is a sign of things to come in the next couple of months

there's a wreck just outside the trunk that a couple yrs ago held big eyes so i believe that they did get into a school of big eyes.
Everyone seems to be monday night quarter backs about everyone elses reports. This site was designed to promote the industry of sportfishing not throw stones at people who post reports.
