Just got this from a friend 1228 marlin caught trolling from Miami to the Bahamas! Anyone know the story?

That is a photo of a black marlin that was caught off the GBR in Australia in 2007. The angler is Daniel Spencer and the fish weighed 1100lbs+ if my memory is correct.

I thought it was a black marlin funny how these things get put out there.

Kind of like the huge mako pic that went around last year with accounts of it being from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Lewis,Norfolk and even the Pacific NW.
