well, i guess it does happen after all. one got caught today on the brunswick county side, an 84" caught by keith logan. he also reported an early double-header, where he lost both fish. we are seeing a ton of bait and birds on the beach down here right now so it just may be time for things to get right in brunswick. no doubt there will be a bunch of boats after them tomorrow we'll see where this goes. congrats to keith, who i believe was fishing solo.

I can't imagine a double of giants solo, now that must be an a crazy experiance.

Congrats on landing the fish solo. Hard enough to land one with a full crew, never mind by yourself. Nice work.

Sounds like 8-12 fish killed in about the same place today, with about 25 boats in the area. Wally on the Fish Whistle had two fish, Keith Logan had an 86 incher, Bonner Stiller had one. Who knows, it may be heating up down this way. Not sure what the fleet in MHC did today. Hope they caught some up there too.

Glad to hear the fog is finally gone so you can see birds. It was like pea soup Saturday. The BFT guys weren't doing much from what i heard on the radio Saturday.

Final tally from Brunswick County, 20-25 boats and 10 fish sold. Haven't called Tatums in Southport yet to see what the biggest ones were but the ones I heard of were in the 80" range. Sounds like the bite went off about 9:00 this morning. And all I can say is, good for that. They'll probably bite better tomorrow when it's rough. I guess we'll see. Anyways, glad to see that there are still some of those critters left out there.
