Awesome report! Very well written. I have heard from my buddies up there that it is sick! Still a lot of GIANT giants coming in too! How does 800lbs dressed strike your fancy???

    Giants....

A 1221 was weighed in on Monday up here. One of the guys I fish with had 2 fish on Wed. off Chatham, dressed at 617 and 779.

I may take a shot at the big ones if the bite is still on after the blow. The cod fishing right on the tuna grounds is wide open right now too, so worth the effort on both.

You continue to kick ass out there Dom- very impressive. I just received Glenn's old Zenaq and I'm dying to get it bent. If you're looking to put a crew together let me know- if that stupid thing called work doesn't get in the way I'd love to take another shot at them this year.

Congrats on a hell of a great season dude!

    Congratulations for your fine catch.
I fished giant ground off Chatam along with 100 boats ( I stopped counting after 75) Wednesday. We didn't get a giant, but we had excellent cod jigging making long drift.
I must had close to 100 cod on jigs though keeper ratio is about 50:50.

Amazing fishing!!! I would love to experience some topwater BFT fishing. It looks a little cold there, however. We get several shots a year in PV on YFT's over 200, skipping rangers. We don't generally land the fish though. Congrats on a great day!!!!!

Outstanding report and pictures, as usual, captain Dom. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your adventures with us.
Your late season bluefin popping has been nothing short of phenomenal this year. I hope to some day have a shot at one myself!
    Cheers,

Dom I have been watching your reports only for about the last month or so and awesome would cover most of them.
I just started jigging w/the little sticks for Tuna this Summer after having Kil Song onboard my boat REELBUSTER out of OC,MD( Kil landed an estimated 80# BFT that day What a fishing lesson"Gaff Please"). Although I have not yet had a Tuna caught by this method I was lucky enough to catch an 80# (estimated ) White Marlin( My first Marlin) which I landed/released within 5 minutes on one of my next trips. THAT fish convinced me of the power of small parabolic rods.I have caught lots of Tunas in the 5 years (w/heavy tackle) I have fished offshore but a big fish on that little tackle is wild to say the least.
Headed to RI for my fatherinlaws Bday Nov 21 22 and while singing to him will be thinking I could be out there w/you making memories...
My hats off to you and thanks from all of us for sharing your reports. I hope to fish w/you in the future.
