Best Spreadr bar

I would like to take a survey and ask which spreader bar is your all time favorite when it comes to catching tunas. That can be yellowfin, bluefin, or bigeye, but it must be a spreader bar. Mine is a rainbw shell squid bar with 7.5" squids and two little birds at the ends of the bar. It's about 4 feet long, has a total of 8 squid and out catches all other bars close to 5:1. Any takers?

For everyday tuna fishing I would have to go with a Green Machine bar. For strictly Bigeye fishing a 16 inch shell squid bar in orange/yellow is my top bar.

That was right along the lines of what I was going to say andy. The Green machine bar tends to catch them anywhere.



FOr Big Eyes I like your color selection as well but we use the Rasta Mauler Squid. This bar is also good for yellow fins and bluefins especially in the 9 inch or 7 inch size. The reason I like this squid better is because you get equal or greater action out of a smaller squid. So when a fish is on you don't have as much drag from the super sized bar.

BEST bar in NC waters. GM bar works too but if I only had one. B/W bar with a white widow trailer.

Thanks for all the feedback. I would post a picture of my spreader bar if I had one. I was thinking of making a green machine spreader bar because so many people sware by the GM, but I've honestly never done very well with it.

Those big blue and white squid look tempting.

Parsifal - that the above squid is the exact squid I was talking about. They have been deadly over the last two years.
