    I'm pretty sure they show up a couple weeks after the spring run in the Chesapeake Bay.

    Dont they go up the Delaware Bay and into the Delaware River to spawn after the Chesapeake run?

    Very nice guys.

    Hey Zoom,
    I'm new to this also, but here is some info since you asked a question and didn't expect to be made fun of by these "pro's". It will depend on your range, but from were you are I would try to get out to spots past Montauk, south of Block Island. I've helped catch a 250lb Big Eye with two other guys on the troll at first light down in the Tom's on the Purple Jet out of Pt Pleasant NJ. It was at first light after chunking all night on a Ballyho. From what I've read it's a lot of luck and just good hard work. It seems to be an early morning bite or low light bite. Do a search on this site and you'll find some really good info on Tuna fishing and Big Eye tuna info. Check out the books, "Fishing for Yellow Fin Tuna" by Capt Dave Peeble ( From RI and fishes your waters) "Fishing for Tun a & Marlin" by Capt. Pete Barrett, and "Offshore Pursuit" by Capt. John Unkart.

    Also consider taking a charter out of New London, Montauk, or RI and learn from them. Help the mate rig, watch the Capt. and so on.

    Hell if the Navy Atlantic Sub Fleet can "Fish" out of New London I sure you can find yourself some tuna!

    GOOD LUCK, Rich

    Go back and read his post. He asked where to get Bigeyes IN OR AROUND New London Sound. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you can't catch a Bigeye in New London Sound.

    Glenn and I took the post as a joke since we have had some people posting crazy threads just to get a response from people. If zoomazoomazoom's thread was started with good intentions then I apologize for my post.

    Yes- read the post

    Listen I'm not looking to cause trouble but a question is a questions no matter how dumb. The post reads;

    "in or around the New London, CT Sound?"

    That's New London "," CT Sound. Yes Zoom should have put another comma between CT and Sound. It's actually the LI Sound but they just call it the Sound. Since he's from CT he might want to claim the Sound has his own states. As far as I know there's no New London Sound. Check out a map, his best bet from New London is to go out into the LI Sound, Block Island Sound and head south to some of his closer lumps, ridges, canyons.

    I don't mean disrespect to you of the other guys but it was a legitimate question.

    I don't appologize for shit. Just having fun is all--- at no one's expense. I've said and done more stupid things than most, and am the first to have fun with my own remarks. Lighten up.

    My assumption was that he is docked in New London and realizes there is a long run to Blue water-----just a matter of where to target the Eyes.
    BTW, a favorite Blue Marlin spot is near the Aircraft Carrier fleet in Norfolk.
