Maui jims are a lot better i have had my maui jim's though some tough shit at sea and on land....

Maui Jim Hoku's are great, the lenses with the polarizeplus2 block out more reflected glare and uv rays than than costas which really make it easier to see when your on the water. Besides, for those of you who don't like it when the sun sneaks in the side the hokus have a wider wrap-around like frame to block out the sun. Just don't forget it'll be harder to see other boats coming in off your beams and quarters when your headed in when the day is over.

costas are definentaly the way to go, i have the fathoms and they are great, jus rinse off all the saltwater after a rough fishing trip and they are good as new.

ALL THE GLASSES WERE MADE IN ITALY OR FRANCE TOP NOTCH QUALITY THE NEW ONES ARE NOW MADE IN CHINA AND TAIWAN LIKE THE GLASSES FROM 7-11 CONVENIENCE STORES THAT COST 5 DOLLARS.THE LENSES ARE ALSO MADE IN A DIFFERENT FACTORY THAN THEY WERE JUST 3 YEARS AGO.THIS NEW OWNER MAKES MORE MONEY PER UNIT BY USING CHINA AND PUT A LOT OF MONEY IN ADVERTISING TRYING TO CAPITALIZE ON WHAT USED TO BE A GREAT PRODUCT THE WARRANTY HAS ALSO CHANGED THE BRAND FOCUS IS ON BIG CHAIN STORES NOT THE LOCAL SHOPS THE NAME HAS CHANGED TO JUST COSTA NOT COSTA DEL MAR WHOLE NEW COMPANY.BUY MAUI JIM OR KAENON STILL MAKING MADE IN ITALY QUALITY CRAFTMANSHIP

Costa Del Mar are fine if you don't mind getting new ones every few months. KAENON is the way to go!!

Bought a pair of Smith Action Optics with the Polarchromic Inferno lenses for a recent trip. The skipper, the crew and I were amazed at how clear they were. Won't wear anything else and I have currently ordered another couple pair to try different lenses/frames.

Earlier I have decided to take the plunge & spend $150 or more on a great pair of polarised glasses for fishing. Last I need your opinions of that is the best overall. Im fasilry familiar with Costa Del Mars but are they`re any other manufacturers which copmare? If so that ones?
