BEST BAIT TO PULL ON PLANER ROD?

Caught this yellowfin trolling a white 0.5 ounce bucktail with a white worm trailer just outside the surf line in Guatemala.



Also caught a bunch of small blackfins on the Marathon hump in the keys trolling small bucktails during a day that they would not hit anything else. Bucktails are probably the single most versatile lure ever invented.

Completely agree with you guys.

Sometimes I will put one down the middle of the spread behind and below the other baits with a good size trolling weight - this also works very well especially when the fish are not responding.

If you want to crush the wahoo pull a Blue Water Candy wahini in purple/black. For yellowfins use a 1 oz. Bling Head in Cotton Candy or Crystal Meth color. Those are murder...

Its in the video. Best bait for YFT out of OI. For wahoo, definetly the mantanza. Pink and Blue in the wahoos mouth caught a 60lb yft as well so its not just for the planer.
