    BERMUDA in September

I've been to Bermuda a few times in my life and think it's a great place. I know we've got at least a couple locals on the board here and that grander Wound Up had this year was a beauty. It's been 10 years since my last visit and I'm really looking forward to getting back there. My wife's planned most of the trip and I suspect we've got a fishing trip, or will soon, on the schedule.

How's the billfish and wahoo bite in late Sept?

Wahoo bite can be excellent.... however the billfish are becoming scarce. James (Woundup) got one a couple days ago on a wahoo outfit though. Give him a call and have fun!

    Thumbs up

Hooked a nice one mid september on the De Mako, dumped half an 80 in no time, fun fun fun till it pulled the hook. I think alot of boats there change over their stuff to meat fishing for fear of getting skunked but I suspect there are plenty of blue ones that time of year, they just don't focus on em... just my 2 cents

The wahoo fishing is usually very good in late Sept....Double figure trips are the norm right now and should continue.. A lot of the fish have been caught in the chum and on live bait...Lighter tackle (Tiagra 16's) and a lot more angler participation...
There is not much effort on the marlin front..We caught one on Monday and heard of another caught on Sunday.. The h2o is still in the 80's so i imagine there'd still be a few around at the end of the month..If you're interested in marlin fishing, make sure you let your captain know as most of us have put the big gear away for the season..
Hope you have a great vacation.

Definately hook-up with Wound-up for some fishing and some dark n' stormies afterwards.......good times.
