    Bermuda Report w/ Wound-up 5/12 - Monster Hoo

    Bermuda Report w/ Wound-up 5/12 - Monster Hoo-wahoo2.jpg

Made the long journey out from California to fish with James of Wound-Up charters on 5/9 and 5/12! Although the weather was less than ideal and fish were transitioning to the other side of the bank, we had what I consider great fishing, topped by a whopping 91lb hoo on 5/9. That day we caught seven wahoo.......quality was excellant with a couple of 50's, a couple of 40's, one 30 and one rat.

Pic of the 58 and 91lb hoo....

Despite 25knts of wind and 8ft seas, we decided to fish a half day on 5/12. We were back at the dock by 1:30pm and managed a solid catch of 8 hoo in the short time that we were on the big pond. Quality wasn't nearly as good as the first day but tons of fun none the less. Here is our score for the day........notice the down-pour in the background.

I want to thank James for being an amazing host and one of the most intense fisherman I have ever fished with. I highly recommend him if you are planning a trip there.

    Straws,

Perhaps PELAGIC, in their infinite wisdom, might choose to sponsor the baddest tournament team in Bermuda for the coming season? (By bad I really mean good - dope slang)

    (PELAGIC + Woundup)*(Straws + Otoro)^ = Big Blues and Cockspur!!!!!!

    Bring it on......
