    Bench Marks!

In our sport there's a lot of benchmarks to shoot at. You hear guys talk about a Giant Blue fin 1000lb+, Grander Marlin Blue or Black, 90-100lb White Marlin. 50lb striper, 10lb taug, 10lb large mouth and the list goes on.
Although i've never reached any benchmarks my list that I'm proud of is 38lb striped bass although I've weighed more 50lbers than anyone I know (that's what happens when you are in the B+T business for 9yrs)
    103lb yellowfin
    150lb blue fin
    8lb Large mouth
7lb rainbow trout on the fly rod in the rockies
22lb bluefish which would of been a VA record at the time if we didn't eat it. Caught on a party boat with my Dad, I was 10 or 11 at the time.
    8lb weakfish
28+lb tilefish my first one I caught and I goit it with the man himself, Admin
So what are your guys bench marks or significant catches?
    Thanks Tim

PS 350lb mako I wired this fish and it is one of the most exciting things I've been a part of

Every fish I catch is spectacular - size and weight don't matter too much to me.

Have to add that my oldest son(12) caught his first cobia at 51lb 8oz for his first NC citation but just as excited if not more excited when he landed his second NC citation 1lb 15oz kingfish on ultralight tackle! Sometimes its not the biggest fish that gets the blood flowing but the biggest of fish. Cool thread. Thanks, Netman

    You actually weighed it Timmy.

89# wahoo 21 miles from the rocks.
However that was easily topped this summer when Brant(3yrs.) reeled in his first fish, a little blue in the rips under working birds.

10+ lb weakfish on the fly- would have been a tippet class world record, but I had no idea at the time.
