My 450B 1.3mm-4.2mm busted friday, the f'in top jaw cracked must have been a bad casting. After really looking at it, there was a small void in the cast..GRRrrr
I cannot find one anywhere..my suppliers are out and can't get em for months..
any help would be appreciated if you have/know where there is one..
Kind of the same problem. I have had two of the same crimpers (450B). Both of the through bolts broke after a year to 2 years of use. I have replaced them a couple times. I want to get a different kind but I can't find a heavy duty bench crimper that has the multiple slots with the correct sizes.
I saw some on the shelves this past weekend in Outdoor World-Bass Proshops in Orlando Florida... so I am sure they must have some in stock.
Funny, I was telling the wife I needed one (though I really dont) but wound up not getting it. Not sure the brand.
"Guy says' in a nice Hawaiian tone..yep we got 6 of the narrow and 6 of the wide sittin on the shelf..for 5 years now..we used to sell em to the greenstick tuna boats..that fad sorta died"
I need the wide one..works like a champ on longer crimps for cable and really heavy mono..NO bulging crimp ends from narrow jaw..makes sweet cable rigs..
The wide jaw one is impossible to find..since the manu quit making it..so bought 2 of em'
thanks for all the help and leads guy's...
Taylor...when I get them in..I will pm' you and let you know if they are the right ones..Im pretty sure this one starts with either 1.8mm or 2.0mm..the guy wasn't too sure..but that's fine with me..it works and it's the wide body.
The blue paint is the widejaw..the black paint is the narrow
