Me and my boatswain mate, No Beard, readied the gear. Had to watch what we was doin. Size 2 hook go clear though the tip of a finger and cary ye to Dave Jones locker if ye aren't careful. Or can give you a nasty poke and make you say "ow".
We posistioned our Intruder on the bend where we figured the most damage could be made. Intruder was a grand old scow with her crows nest pushin up through the clouds. The ol girl was a tried and tru shark raisn machine and bore the the scars to prove it.
We lowered the workin gear and drew a mighty bite. Coil after coil, fathom after fathom of our finest line raced off the deck. Finally we got a wrap on the sampson post. Me matey leaned into the beast. We wasn't sure if our muscles would hold or worsen yet if the transom would be torn from the stringers Arghh.
The sun raced across the sky as the battle ensued. Then I could see the fearsome beast just a shimmerin beneath the surface. I readied the lance and prepared the poons but on Intruder we is manly mens and decided to wrestle the beastie over yon gunwales and onto the deck of death. Then all was quiet. Sweat and blood poured from the scuppers. Silent in our victory . Silent was he in defeat. I yelled that all was clear. I had No Beard fetch me his quills and marlin spike so I could scrimshaw me a memory of the epic bugger. To that day I raise a toast. To Doggie Dick the great white smoothhound! That scrimshaw for generations to come shall remain here etched in the Cuttle bone of a dreaded Dell squidly for the seafarin mens and wimins to ponder before their next trip over the horizon...

dont know if this is tru or not but i heard they urinate through their skin so the meat can be poisioness or maby just taste like piss. u know if this is tru box??
Most sharks pass excess nitrogen through their skin. Enough concentration can make you queasy. Thats why careful proper handling of the meat to avoid release of chemicals that turn nitrogen into ammonia is important. Mako is one of the few species that actually has a urinary tract to discharge the (piss)...
