i wonder if this fish and the No Problem grander were caught inthe same area?
I think you will find that in all Tournaments the end time means end of fishing. Then you start to bring your lines in. What possible reason would you have to start bringing your lines in early ?
We ALWAYS bring dredges in at 3:20, then teasers in at 3:25. That way the only lines in the water for the last 5 mins of fishing are baits with hooks, so if a fish does show in the last 5 mins, hopefully they will eat and not be distracted by a dredge or teaser.
wow. great job catching that big blue and playing by the rules.......class act for sure.
great thread!!!
The crew of Beast showed an immense amount of respect to the sport through their actions. Something good has to be coming their way....
As for the rules discussion I have always interpreted it like this:
Lines in time: The time when the spread can began to be deployed. If lines in is 0830, then nothing goes in the water before that time.
Lines out time: Could really be called "stop fishing time". You could troll all the way home if you wanted to but any fish you catch after 1530 (or the designated time) doesn't qualify for the tournament and therefore results in a sharp pain in the foot after you shoot yourself in it for not bringing the spread in and catching the tournament winner.

Way to go on getting such a nice fish. Too bad after the bell! Still a great story for everyone involved. Nice work and nice release.
First off Congrats on the catch BUT. I dont see the need for praise regarding being honest for turning her loose!! THE FISH WOULD NOT HAVE COUNTED IF THE KILLED IT!!!!!!!! Since it was not called in before lines out. So congrats on the fish but it doesn't make them HEROS
