    NJ Beach Haven White Marlin

Just got back home so sorry for the delayed report.
I got down to the Beach Haven yacht Club on Weds Night to meet up with my team aboard the Reelyn, We ended up fishing deep on Thursday. We dragged our naked ballys and dredges with out a touch until 11:00. We ended up changing our spread and picked up speed to cover more ground. Well I guess the whites liked what we had because we ended up going 3 for 3 for the day! The first fish was 66 3/4" and was a real fat one! The others were in the high 50's. We Layed up on Friday due to high winds and well needed rest. On Saturday we went right back to were we had our bites and it seemed that a couple of boats had followed us to the marks - So we decided to through them off and pull them wayout into the deep. When they finally left we went back to our spot and went 0 for 2. I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles. Well we Ended up taking home a couple of trophys anyway.

Hey deep heres one for ya in the beach haven tourny last week a very good
friend of mine owner of the boat and one of the mates used to work with me
trained him well but anyway there were THREE CAPT. ON BOARD on day one
came running in at WOT ran out of the channel and you guessed it ran a
ground at 22 knts totaling there running gears props looked like tulps shafts
bent and struts bent like the letter C so they take day two as a lay day have
the boat towed back up to clarks and put up on blocks oh and trans brgs
are gone too, they talked to someone not giving any names to use their boat
and for him to run it so they can finish the tourny which they did and one
the last day caught a 100 lbs YFT and won that days calcutta 10k which
was 1500 a pice for them know were near what its going to cost for repairs
but my question was is that allowed to swap boats like that last min

    Brian,

What the guys didn't tell you that there were 3 boats that followed eachother right up onto the bar. Unfortantly there is a split in the channel and they cut the wrong markers and put themselves right in about 1 foot of water. I do not know how they didn't see the bar. It stands out like a sore thumb. Luckly knowone got seriously hurt.
I hate to see that stuff happen.

good of a time and being carless that will teach them
