bats good or bad luck???

Ok this is a little weird but how many of you on the east coast have been fishing only to look up and see a bat hanging upside down at the helm? and are they good or bad luck? I would like to say they are good luck cause after the bat flew away we got a bite that put us on the board for first place tuna for a bit.
here is a pic of the thing, they are not to good as he was dive bombing us for a bit and I was scared to death of getting a bat bite during the middle of the day. probably had rabies or somthing....lol

I say they are good luck! we caught one in our salon a couple years ago and couldnt get him out.......cause we were to busy in the cockpit!!! He came all the way back to Cape May with us......we even flew a home made bat flag!
